Navigation Lights

Power-driven vessels display: masthead light(s) (white, 225°), sidelights (red port, green starboard, each 112.5°), and a stern light (white, 135°). Vessels over 50m show two masthead lights (the forward one lower).

Sailing vessels under sail display sidelights and a stern light only — no masthead light. They may also carry an optional tricolour at the masthead (red, green, white combined). Vessels at anchor show an all-round white light (or two for vessels over 50m).

Special lights include: NUC (two all-round red), RAM (red-white-red all-round), fishing (green over white), trawling (green over white + masthead), vessel aground (two all-round red + anchor lights).
